Is the worst they can do access your internet connection?
What can they have access to? Please explain in detail
I ask because the Nintendo DS only uses WEP for wifi and we are currently using WPA.
I’m thinking about making the switch.
This tutorial will show you how to hack WEP and WPA/2 encryption on a Wi-Fi Network using a Linux kernel, like BackTrack. NOTE: For educational purposes only! I take no responsibility for using this method in real life! Hak5 – BackTrack 5 VM with Wireless and Linux on a Dingoo Digital
Author: admin // Category: Hacking
This time on an exciting brand-new-studio edition of Hak5 we’re getting hands on with the latest version of BackTrack-Linux, configuring virtual machines and wireless. Shannon’s flashing the firmware on a Dingoo Digital A320 and installing a custom distro of Linux and so much more.
It looks like my next door neighbor is leeching my wireless connection. I don’t want to secure it with WEP or WPA because my daughter’s Nintendo DS freaks out. I’m not looking to do anything malicious. Maybe redirect his attempts to access the internet to my website or to some terrorist websites… I am using a Linksys BEFSR41 v4. Any advice will be fun.
Can my computer be hacked AFTER I disconnect from an unsecured wireless connection?
Author: admin // Category: HackingIf I’m using an unsecured wireless connection, would it be possible for someone to hack into my computer after I’ve disconnected (because they might have my IP address, etc). Or, once I’m disconnected should I just stop worrying?
ANOTHER QUESTION:
Is it possible for them to have set up some kind of remote hacking program that would have taken my information even without them being present or using the signal themselves? Sorry if these questions seem uninformed; I don’t know much about this. I’m just worried about my computer getting hacked.
Does having a wireless router make your computer more vulnerable to hacking?
Author: admin // Category: Hackingwhat do i risk if i dont put a security pin on my linksys router?? except for people using my internet for free what else do i risk??
im thinking about putting a WEP security on my linksys so my brother can play on his DS but i’ve heard that people know how to hack it…. but i have nothing to lose right?
